Prof. Dr. Sebastian Müller

Professor Müller studied Business at the University of Mannheim and the University of Wales, Swansea. In 2011 he received his PhD from the University of Mannheim. In 2012 and 2013 he was a visiting researcher at the University of California at Berkeley, USA. In 2016, he was appointed as Professor of Corporate Finance at the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) Heilbronn. Since September 2019, he serves as Professor of Finance at the TUM School of Management, Campus Heilbronn.
The major research fields of Professor Müller include Asset Pricing, Asset Management, Investor Behavior, Digital Finance, and Sustainable Finance. He is particularly interested in the price discovery process in financial markets, the investment behavior of institutional and individual investors, and the digitalization of the financial industry. Mr. Müller received several awards for his research which has been published in leading finance journals such as The Journal of Financial Economics, The Review of Financial Studies, and The Review of Finance.
Professor Müller is also a Co-Developer of “ARERO – Der Weltfonds” and “ARERO – Der Weltfonds – Nachhaltig”, two German Multi-Asset-Class Index Funds, which have been created in collaboration with DWS Investment S.A. (Total AuM approx. 1500 Mio. Euro as of Nov. 2021.)
