Andreas Nigg, CFA

Andreas Nigg has been Head of US & Global Sustainable Equities within the Asset Management division of Bank J. Safra Sarasin Ltd since April 2018. His team focuses on valuation, momentum, quality and sustainability. It launched the JSS Sustainable Equity – Global Climate 2035 fund which won the ESGinvesting award for “Best ESG Investment Fund: Thematic (Climate alignment)” in 2022.

Prior to joining the Bank, Andreas Nigg held various leadership roles at Vontobel Asset Management for 20 years, where he received institutional awards for managing equity funds. In 2012, he was named Head of Equity & Commodity Strategy after having been Head of International Equities previously. He was a longstanding member of the asset allocation committee and a board member of a pension (Stiftungsrat). Andreas Nigg began his professional career in 1993 at UBS within the Global Asset Management division as a Portfolio Manager for Canadian and US Equities.

Andreas Nigg is a Swiss and Canadian citizen. He graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance & Marketing. He is also a CFA^® charterholder and completed the Executive Program at the Swiss Banking School.
